[NEWS] Jennifer Makes NFL Star J.J. Watts Dream Come True!

Jennifer & NFL Houston Texans player J.J. Watss
article by: Lindsay Kimble

PEOPLE magazine
"Needless to say we've all had our share of celebrity crushes over the years. How couldn't we? Celebrities are beautiful people...anyhow, actress Jennifer Aniston made NFL's Houston Texans defensive end player J.J. Watts celebrity dream come true. After admitting he had a crush on the actress he had the chance to pose with Jennifer for an impromptu photo op. The pair synced up on Monday in Los Angeles, California at their shared talent agency. When Watt told his representative he wanted to meet Aniston, which he calls his "life long goal", they quickly tracked the actress down - in the building. Of his meeting with Jennifer, Watts said, "It was incredible," he told the Associated Press on Tuesday, "She was very sweet." Although J.J. may be a terror on the football field, the 6' 5" tall 289lbs athlete melted into a puddle of goo when he met his crush. "I could barely contain my excitement while posing for a photo with her on Monday," said Watts. "I'm not even going to try to pretend like I acted cool when this happened #lifemade," wrote Watts of the Instagram snap. Of meeting the all-star athlete Jennifer said, "I'm not a Texans fan, but I knew that he was from the southern state. He was a gentlemen, he shook my hand instead of hugging me." Watts jokingly added, "As I left the room after meeting her and posing for a photo together I left the room without proposing to her...it was a complete disaster." Does Watts know Jennifer has been engaged for 3 years now to screenwriter/actor Justin Theroux? Anyhow, we're happy Aniston could make another celebrities dream come true. Way to go Jennifer!"

[NEWS] 'Mother's Day' the Movie starring Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, Kate Hudson

article by: Josh Duboff

VANITY FAIR magazine
"What do actresses Kate Hudson, Julia Roberts, and Jennifer Aniston have in come? The fact that this will be their first time collaborating together! From the director who brought us ensemble holiday films (2010) Valentine's Day and (2011) New Year's Eve comes director Gary Marshall's, Mother's Day. June 30, 2015 it was announced that Marshall will be gifting us with a third holiday ensemble flick franchise. For those unfamiliar, these films feature a glut of A- and B- listers, interweaving storylines tied to the holiday in question, and an A+ option for Sunday afternoon movie-going when you're at home visiting your parents. It will in the least necessary log line of all time, tell the tales of several mothers as they title holiday approaches, and already has several stars attached. Theses stars include actress Julia Roberts (a Marshall veteran; the two have collaborated in the past 1990 Pretty Woman, 1999 Runaway Bride, and 2010 Valentine's Day), actress Jennifer Aniston, actress Kate Hudson, and actor/comedian Jason Sudeikis. Let’s guess what plot lines these four are going to be wrapped up in come—whenever this movie comes out (May 2016?).

(2010) director Gary Marshall with actress Julia Roberts the the L.A. premiere of Valentine's Day
Julia Roberts: Amber (Roberts) owns an art gallery, has three adorable kids, a doting husband (actor/comedian Paul Rudd), an Upper East Side brownstone: she would seem, as they say, to have it all. But then, on her way back home from Whole Foods one night, she gets a call from her mom (Ellen Burstyn): “I know we haven’t talked in a decade,” she says, “but I’m sick, Am.” Amber drops her paper bag on the middle of Lexington Avenue, avocados tumbling into the street. The next day she drives up to Vermont to see her mother, and the two reminisce, dance to Rod Stewart, and even, eventually, finally, talk about what happened at dinner at Thanksgiving in 2005.

Jennifer Aniston: Mickey (Aniston) is a Los Angeles yoga teacher with a string of no-good ex-boyfriends. She’s sworn off love (“I’ve sworn off love,” she tells her best friend Helen [Judy Greer] over green juices.) But then one day Riley (actor Liam Hemsworth) shows up at her yoga class, and she can’t help but take notice (“You wanna downward his dog, don’t you?!” Helen squeals over a glass of chardonnay.) Riley asks Mickey for a private session, which leads to a private session, and, six weeks later, Mickey finds out she’s pregnant. “Helen, what do I do?!?” she shrieks. “I can’t have a baby with a baby!” Helen puts down her frozen yogurt: “Mickey, not only are you going to have a baby with that baby, it’s going to be the most genetically gifted, flexible, sinewy baby the earth has ever seen.”

(2010) Valentine's Day
Kate Hudson: Vicki (Hudson) and Nicki (actress Jennifer Connelly)—they know, they’ve heard all the jokes about their names before!—have been trying to adopt for three years, to no avail, as their offbeat lawyer, Ron (actor Steve Buscemi), has delivered bad news at every turn. “Maybe this is a sign that it isn’t meant to be, that we aren’t fit to be mothers!” Vicki cries, taking a prepared meal out of the microwave one night. Vicki, exasperated, buys a one-way ticket to Paris (“I just need . . . to get away,” she tells her assistant, Jade [actress Emma Roberts].) She heads home to tell Nicki, only to find Ron waiting on her doorstep. “I have some news,” he says, with a toothy smile.

(2011) New Year's Eve
Jason Sudeikis: Mitch (Sudeikis) and Tab (actress Rose Byrne) thought having a baby in a crammed Brooklyn one-bedroom would be a piece of cake. “Like, Snooki has two kids, doesn’t she?” Mitch said, finishing off a piece of cheesecake. “Yeah, right, Snooki!” Tab laughed. But it’s not as easy as they expected. Dill is one, and they still haven’t figured it out: Tab’s late on three manuscripts she has to edit, Mitch botches a major presentation for that important meeting with that key executive. “I didn’t want to even bring this up,” Tab says one night, as Mitch watches the game, “but what if . . . my mother moved in . . . to help us out?” Mitch winces violently. “And by ‘what if,’ I mean, I already bought her plane ticket, and she’s on her way and—” The doorbell rings, and Mitch, instinctively, flees to the bedroom. Tab opens the door to find her mother (actress Helen Mirren), who shouts, “Hello, my dear, where is the little reptile? And my word, you’re living in a Game of Thrones dungeon, what is this place!??! You look positively malnourished, and not in the good way. And where is that husband of yours, I bought him one of those FitBot watches—I am going to get the dolt in shape . . . someone around here has to.”

[REVIEW] 'The Leftovers' Critic Reviews

The second season has yet to have a set premiere date, but what do the critic's have to say about actor/screenwriter Justin Theroux's series? The Leftovers first season received generally positive reviews from critic's and viewers alike. No particular performance was analyzed by the critic's, but that didn't stop them from criticizing creator David Lindelof and co-creator/novelist Tom Perrotta's work. Here's what the critic's had to say with criticism from Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic, and IMDb.

"The Leftovers is promising" - film critic Sam Wollaston
Review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes gave the first season of the series got a score of 70% based on reviews from 60 critics, with an average rating of 6.9/10.0. Positive reviews from Rotten Tomatoes critics include: "Yes, 'The Leftovers' is baffling...there is a beauty about it too, though. Plus promising - that if you put the effort in you will be rewarded, with a drama that is more about people after a catastrophic even, than the event.", "Damon Lindelof of 'Lost' and Peter Berg of 'Friday Night Lights' actually form the perfect partnership for this complex parable", "You get a healthy dose of chaos and madness." Negative reviews from Rotten Tomatoes critics include: "It doesn't do anything for me to have this show be one of thee flatulence-heavy existentialist mysteries, where nothing is revealed because there is nothing to reveal", "The sense of unease essential to the novel makes for a program that itself often feels unsure of what it's doing, where it's going, or the message it's trying to convey", "Save your appetite  for something fresh as these 'Leftovers' have been warmed too many times".

"It's one of the more riveting new series" - film critic Tim Goodman
According to Metacritic, the first season of the series got a score of 65 out of 100, based on reviews from 42 critics, indicating "generally favorable reviews". Positive reviews from Metacritic critic's include: "None of this would work without compelling characters. Fortunately, 'The Leftovers' has bunches of them", "It's pretty grim stuff - but quite engrossing and worth your time", "If Lindelof and Perrotta can somehow strike a balance of the human, emotional fallout while also delving into an explanation of the oddities involved in 'the sudden departure', then 'The Leftovers' could be one of the more riveting new series". Negative reviews from Metacritic critic's include: "Lots of hearts are likely to harden in resistance to the calculated grimness, the nightmarish images. Not to mention the preening incoherence that pervades this script based on the novel by Tom Perrotta, a work whose measured tone bears no resemblance whatever to the goings on here", "Almost every moment here is staged to scream 'Look at me! I'm arty!' Lindelof, burned mightily by the backlash over 'Lost's' ridiculous finale, has all but told reporters that the mystery central to 'The Leftovers' will never be explained. That leaves you with a show wallowing in smug self-importance, melancholy and drear week after week.", "The Leftovers' is boring, dull and mundane. Not even the talented cast shines in this show which offers viewers nothing but the dourness. Nevertheless, great background music!".

"One of the most exciting new series from HBO in years!" - film critic Anonymous
IMDb the internet movie data base gave the series first season 7.7 stars out of a 10.0 star rating based on 22,152 votes from 157 users and 19 critics. Positive reviews from IMDb critics include: "This show has top notch acting by all concerned and is driven by the development of the characters, and the unfolding of events that now follow the rapture", "I am totally hooked and I think this is one of the most exciting new series from HBO in years", "This show could be good, we won't know unless it gets picked up for another season, but don't let the negative reviews scare you off. Let's give it a chance and see where it takes us". Negative reviews from IMDb critics include: "Two of the main problems with 'The Leftovers' is that none of the characters are memorable and the show doesn't reward you for your time", "The very appropriate tilted 'The Leftovers', is like digging through my fridge, finding the same old bland crap that I didn't like enough to finish the first time, and wondering if it will still be palatable after scrapping the mold off, and stuff it in the microwave, in a half baked attempt to fill a craving, "The Leftovers' is slow pacing but you have to give the viewers something to hook onto. The shows intriguing premise simply isn't enough."

[NEWS] 'The Iron Giant' Returns to Theaters for Re-Release

article by: Jeff Labrecque

Mondo poster of (1999) 'The Iron Giant'
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY magazine
"In May, Tomorrowland director Brad Bird let slip that 'The Iron Giant', his 1999 box-office dub turned beloved animated classic, might find its way back into theaters for a special re-release. "I think something will happen fairly soon," Bird told Collider. "They know that people have a fondness for it...I would love to see Iron Giant get back into theaters even if only for a week." It won't be a weeks run but pencil September 30 on your calendar. Warner Bros. and Fathom Events are putting a remastered 'signature edition' version of 'The Iron Giant' in theaters for a very limited engagement. The special-event screening will take place at 7:00 pm on September 30, with an encore showing on October 4 at 12 pm in participating theaters around the country. The new remastered cut will include all-new scenes. "We can't wait to bring this family favorite back its home on the big screen" said Fathom Events CEO John Rubey, in a statement. "The Iron Giant is meant to be seen and heart on movie theaters and this is a great chance for fans new and old to enjoy this classic, remastered with new scenes." The film, Bird's first as director, was soundly ignored at the box office when it opened August 3, 1999 debuting at No. 9 and ultimately grossing only $23.2 million reportedly less than a third of its production budget. But critics lavished it with praise and it went to win nine Annie awards. In the 16-years since, 'The Iron Giant' has only risen in profile and is considered on of the richest animated films of an age mostly dominated by Pixar films. Following the brief theatrical re-release, a high-definition version of 'The Iron Giant: Signature Edition' will be available from digital retailers in the fall of 2015."

More information about the September 30 re-release can be found on the following website: Fathom Events tickets page

The Voices Behind the Characters - The Cast
The Iron Giant - Voiced by actor Vin Diesel as the loveable robot/alien-like giant from another planet. His character crash landed from another planet, is fifty-feet tall, and eats metal. The Iron Giant involuntarily reacts defensively if he recognizes anything as a weapon, immediately attempting to destroy it. The specific creator of the giant is never revealed. The creature acts child-like and mimics Hogarth's every move in attempts to learn what its like to be 'normal'/'human'.

Hogarth Hughes - Voiced by actor Eli Marienthal, his character is a young energetic and curious boy with an active imagination. Hogarth's the one who discovers the Iron Giant and befriends him. He teaches him about life and death, and comic books. Together they have adventures of their own as the pair wonder around the forest and the town.

Kent Masley - Voiced by actor Christopher McDonald, his character is a paranoid government agent sent to investigate sightings of the Iron Giant. The logo on Kent's official government car says he is from the 'Bureau of Unexplained Phenomena' also known as the B.U.P. Kent is strongly disliked by Hogarth and the two have at each other throughout the course of the film. Thinking he's a charming and sly dapper man he attempts to charm Annie. His charms work and she allows Kent to stay with her and Hogarth because they are renting out a spare room. His paranoia gets the better of him and he calls in General Shannon Rogard for reinforcements after having sighted the Iron Giant.

Annie Hughes - Voiced by actress Jennifer Aniston, her character is a widowed single-mother to Hogarth, and a waitress. She worries about her son's active imagination, and is in disbelief that he is hanging around with a 50-foot robot/alien. She is charmed by Kent Mansley into renting out the spare room at their home. Sometime later, she and Dean become a couple.

Dean McCoppin - Voiced by actor/singer Harry Connick, Jr., his character is a beatnik artist and junkyard owner. He befriends the Hughes family allowing the Iron Giant to stay with him at the junkyard. He assists Hogarth with concealing the Iron Giant by disguising the robot as a piece of scrap-metal art. Sometime later, he and Annie become a couple.

General Shannon Rogard - Voiced by actor John Mahoney, his character is a military leader in Washington D.C. who strongly dislikes agent Kent Mansley because he thinks he's unworthy of even being associated with the government as paranoid as Mansley is. Rogard eventually gives into Mansley's constant whining as well as a string of pestering phone calls and goes from Washington to Rockwell, Maine where Kent claims to have spotted the Iron Giant.

From her love life; Aniston says of her engagement in an earlier interview with People magazine, "My happiness level is a 10+!", to her uterus - Aniston says of motherhood in an earlier interview with Vanity Fair magazine, "NEVER in my life have I said, 'I don't want to have children.' I DID, and I DO, and I WILL!". It seems like she can't catch a break. If you pick up a magazine she's on the cover of it. Everything from fashion - VOGUE, to gossip - PEOPLE. Jennifer's been making headlining news since becoming everybody's favorite friend in '94 and her star studded status skyrocketed to the pinnacle after marrying film actor Brad Pitt in 2000. After their divorce in 2005 her life quickly became a media circus giving tabloid magazine's something write about. A decade later and she's practically reliving the nightmare - no thanks to Star magazine.

Star magazine's photo of Jennifer appearing supposedly 'distant' and 'defiant' as Justin tries to hug her in order to 'calm' her down.
article by: Star Staff

STAR magazine
In a recent issue their cover story of Aniston headlined the following: 'Jennifer Confronts Fiance Justin Therouxs Secret Girlfriend - Jen Calls Off Their Wedding!'. The cover story read: "Jen and Justin are in a terrible place right now, an unnamed insider revealed. "They are never together and even when they are together, they fight nonstop." The article continued depicting Aniston as 'the paranoid fiancee' and Justin as 'a cheater'. The article even went on to tall tales of the 'other woman' describing her to be a "Pretty blonde" and Jen and Justin had, "many arguments over her," says another apparent source so call ably 'close' to the couple. It also explained that, "Justin swore nothing happened, but Jennifer apparently thought differently, and the fact that he MAY have cheated has stayed in the back of her mind. It described the 'other woman' as being a 'Pretty Blonde' and Jennifer confronted her and the following conversation supposedly ensued between the two woman, Jennifer: "Are you having an affair with Justin?" Other woman: "No, no,". The story went on explaining Justin as 'humiliated' and 'embarassed' by Jen's supposed 'CRAZY' behavior because supposedly their relationship is 'Hanging by a thread' in the words of this so-called 'close inside source' to the couple. The article described the couple as 'being at their lowest point', 'fighting/arguing ALL the time', Jennifer being 'paranoid, jealous, distant and defiant', and Justin as 'a cheater, 'embarrassed,' 'humiliated', and 'swearing nothing happened'. The article concludes with, "As a result of her [Jennifer's] apparent 'anger' during a supposed phone call that took place between her and Justin, Jen called off their engagement entirely - a decision Justin so call ably 'agreed' with wholeheartedly."

February 2015 Justin & Jennifer at the 87th Annual Academy awards
We don't know the couple personally, but we're sure they are a happy-healthy couple. So they haven't been seen in public for 79 days! That doesn't mean their relationship isn't working out. That just means that they each have a busy schedule and couldn't get time off to spend with each other is all. With Jennifer taking on film projects - she's got Mean Moms in the works it just picked up pre-production and she's yet to be confirmed as 'signed on' but were sure with Sean Anders singing on to direct (they've collaborated together on Horrible Bosses and We're the Millers) that should seal the deal, plus She's Funny That Way is getting ready to hit theaters this August so she'll be promoting the film attending premiers and what not, and Justin's HBO television series 'The Leftovers' shooting location has been moved from New York to Texas. We're sure in between all that time apart they've at least called one another to check in with each other.

January 2015 Jennifer & Justin at the 20th Annual Critic's Choice awards
What Jennifer and Justin have both said about the incident: Jennifer "Huh, I guess since I haven't made headlining news in a while they decided to make up their own headline. I don't read that crap! It's poison, it's toxic. I know what I know, and we [Justin and I] know our truth. There's always going to be the tough and the nasty. You just tune out to that. I learned that you can get through things that hurt. Nothing will kill you. Nothing. People are UNBELIEVABLE. We [people] have such resilience." Justin "I could say 'Jennifer and I are fine' and the tabloids could blow it WAY out of proportion and quote me as having said something like, 'Justin says 'He and Jennifer are FINE?'. It's not hard being with her [Jennifer]. Nothing about her is difficult." Jennifer concluded saying, "In the end people will believe what they want to believe, or should I say, believe what they want to read."
