[NEWS] Aveeno Scandal - Will Jennifer Stop Endorsements?

Actress Jennifer Aniston is caught up the latest scandal with one of her endorsers - Aveeno Skincare products. She's been the spokesperson for the product since 2013, but since then it's been discovered that Aveeno is laced with microbeads. Science journal Nature are the one's who brought this to our attention. Aniston has since been "named and shamed" for promoting a facial scrub laced with microbeads. Nature, the world's top science journal, criticized the actress for endorsing a facial scrub made by Aveeno. A commercial for Positively Radiant shows Jennifer's face with a towel, before proclaiming that it provides 'naturally beautiful results.'

Nature's editorial says:
"The advertisement does NOT disclose the fact that the so-called 'gentle exfoliators' in the product are plastic particles."

It goes on to describe microbeads - (a manufactured solid plastic particles of less than five millimeters in their largest dimension. Most frequently made of polyethylene but can be of other petrochemical plastics such as polyproplene and polystyrene) - as a SERIOUS pollutant.

Natures editorial furthers states:
"If they (microbeads) are NOT banned, Miss Aniston and others WILL forever blush with shame."

Jennifer defends herself telling how she's used the range for years, describing her partnership with Aveeno, a skincare ranged made by Johnson & Johnson, as a "natural fit".

In an interview with Marie Claire magazine Jennifer said:
"I LOVE the Aveeno scrub, which I got from a make-up artist about 10-years ago. I ALWAYS use it at the end of the day."

Nature, which publishes more influential science than any other publication, warns of the damage done 'in the name of beauty.' Written last summer in California considered bringing in a microbead bean, the article states: "The UGLY TRUTH is that plastic microbeads found in MANY skin scrubs and other personal care products are a SERIOUS pollutant of the marine environment. They should be phased out rapidly. When Aniston, or those she inspires to follow her, rinse the scrub down the drain, many of the beads end up in the sea, where they will persist indefinitely. This is unnecessary, damaging and must STOP."

Jennifer became the face of Aveeno, a skincare range made by Johnson & Johnson in 2013.
The facial scrub is not sold in the UK, but a similar Aveeno product, a Positively Radiant daily exfoliating cleanser, is. Outside of the statement Jennifer released in the issue of Marie Claire, she has yet to be contacted for further comments.

Johnson & Johnson said:
"We want to remove microbeads from ALL of our products globally by the end of 2017."

Dr. Laura Foster, of the Marine Conservation Society, which is a campaign for microbeads to be banned, said:

"Celebrities have a massive influence on what people buy. Hundreds of thousands of people have joined the MCS's (Marine Conservation Society) call for microplastics to be removed from all products. Celebrities can add their voice to this movement to help protect the ocean."

[NEWS] In Touch Claims, "Jennifer and Angelina Dumped at the Same Time"

In Touch Weekly magazine: Dumped At The Same Time
article by: Shari Weiss

GOSSIP COP.com
"Real or Rumor? Were both actresses Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie dumped at the same time? RUMOR! Neither were dumped by their husbands (Aniston is married to screenwriter/actor Justin Theroux and Jolie is married to film actor Brad Pitt) despite a new report from In Touch Weekly magazine. The new edition announced Aniston and Jolie's supposed humiliation in the new headline: Jen & Angie's Humiliation: Dumped At The Same Time. It's alleged Aniston "really laid into" husband Justin Theroux after a supposedly disappointing at-home anniversary celebration. The cover story blares, "Dumped After Her First Anniversary." Not again! Jennifer Aniston faces more heartbreak as her second marriage crumbles," claims a source.

Apparently Jennifer called Justin out for being a grump all week long for ruining what should have been a blissful time together. With Theroux then returning to Australia to film the third season of the HBO drama/fantasy series 'The Leftovers', the supposed source claims: "They (Jennifer & Justin) have spoken since, but only briefly and curtly. Jen was DEVASTATED. It's over." A representative for the couple says, "This is simply NOT true. Jennifer and Justin are a happily married couple, in fact Jennifer rather enjoyed their laid-back 1-year anniversary celebration."

As for Jolie and Pitt, the other story claims Brad has come between Jennifer and Justin, as he has supposedly "reconnected" with his ex-wife. This is also false. And yet, despite declaring their relationship "over," the alleged tipster goes on to provide the tabloid an out by saying Aniston is "NOT giving up on her marriage to Justin - or on him." As for Jolie, the headline on her section of the cover story declares, "Brad Walks Out On Angelina". The article states: "Angelina Jolie pushes Brad Pitt TOO far when she loses it over his beautiful co-star actress Marion Cotillard, with whom Pitt's working with in the up-coming film 'Allied' - as well as allegedly getting "reconnected" with his ex-wife Jennifer. Neither of which has any truth behind it in the slightest way. It's specifically claimed the recent trailer for the film Pitt and Cotillard are opposite in, "sent Jolie OVER the edge," due to it's romantic and seductive scenes.

The story further states: "After Jolie went nuclear," Pitt supposedly "lost it," contends the publication. An argument between Angelina and Brad said to have taken place days before their second wedding anniversary, ended when Pitt supposedly "walked out," and of course, it's said that Jolie's reaction upon hearing her husband was "back in touch" with Aniston was "the WORST of all." Also NOT true. "Now", claims an alleged 'source' close to Brad, "He is DONE." But we've heard ALL this before. Earlier this month, for instance Gossip Cop busted an In Touch Weekly story that wrongly reported Pitt was "caught" with Aniston on the phone. We've also debunked several inaccurate tabloid claims about the Brad having a "less-than-professional" relationship with co-star actress Marion Cotillard. We guess they can't get enough of these three names: Jennifer, Brad & Angelina, appearing in the headlines.

There's also two other telltale signs that this new cover story is a fabrication. For one: last week In Touch Weekly magazine asserted Aniston and Theroux's anniversary was a "bust", but the piece didn't mention any of these supposed details, including the alleged split. If the magazine was REALLY in the know, it would've known what went down from the get-go. And second: there's NO mention of Aniston being pregnant, as claimed in a June cover story from the same magazine, or the fact that Jolie is adopting an African child as another issue claimed in July. The tabloid just publishes lies on top of lies, regardless of accuracy and consistency. The new cover story is just one more to add to the inaccurate bunch. We can assure you that neither Jennifer nor Angelina have been "dumped" by their respective husbands."

[NEWS] 'Office Christmas Party' Will Merrily Go Off the Rails

article by: Will Robinson

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY.com
"A Chicago winter turns even bleaker for the office drones at a tech company when their CEO (Jennifer Aniston) tries to shutter the branch managed by her merry brother, Clay (T.J. Miller). Thus their traditional office Christmas shindig takes on a more urgent - and debauched - tone, as Clay Vanstone and his CTO (Jason Batman) attempt to use they yuletide bacchanal to woo a major client (Courtney B. Vance). If that seems like a pretty A-list cast for such a lowbrow film concept, you're right. "It's like a Fireball shot served in a very, very nice glass," says co-director Will Speck.

That glass includes appearances by 'Saturday Night LIVE!' stars Kate McKinnon and Vanessa Bayer, 'Veep' actor Matt Walsh, and 'Fresh Off the Boat' actor Randall Park. "This cast is insane in the membrane, in terms of how great it is," Miller says. "To list my favorite people to work with would be to list the entire cast except for me. I don't get along much with myself," he said jokingly. In the middle of the spanning ensemble is the familial dynamic between Clay and his sister Carol (Aniston), and antagonistic rapport that dates back to their childhood - like most sibling beefs. "That in part comes from Clay being the younger brother that always got to get away with everything and got to be a fun guy, and his older sister had to be the grown-up," Miller explains. "That's why she took over as CEO of the company, and he just remained president of the branch his father started." Though she's the more mature Vanstone, Speck and co-director Josh Gordon tease more of a 'Horrible Bosses' Aniston than a 'Friends' one.

Clay will have a co-conspirator in Tracey Hughes (Olivia Munn), and employee in the IT department. (In the trailer, she proffers a joint to romantic interest Josh with a mischievous grin.) And with a comedic supporting role under her belt ('Ride Along 2'), coupled with her earlier career gig as host of pop culture talk show 'Attack of the Show' (and a 'Daily Show' stint), Munn stood strong with the traditional comedy vets. "She has great DNA, the balance between being sophisticated and having a really head on her shoulders, but also being able to know that things can always have a comedic slant to them, just as a person," Speck says. "Olivia knows how to play within that subtle humor space in a way that is very believable, which is important to us."

"It was a really strong female character independent, forward-thinking, progressive, ambitious, and even more prone to take risks compared to Jason Bateman's character willing to." Miller says of Munn's character. "I think that's why Clay and her get along: They both are more open to risk and they idea of failure in the hopes of gaining some ideologic goal." As for Clay, don't expect Miller to come through with another spin at his 'Silicon Valley' standout character. "He doesn't think like Erlich Bachman, that you have to be an a**hole to get ahead," Miller said. "He cares about other people, other people having a great time. He care about people not taking life too seriously. He cares about people over profits - he's really proud of his branch and the company."

Along with this goal is an event rife with eggnog luges, flaming Christmas tree lancing, and "a threesome that may or may not involve a reindeer," T.J. teases. The concerned HP rep (McKinnon) encourages those seeking, um, intimate encounters to participate in the adjacent Rite Aid's parking lot. The unhinged drug-fuelted fete strives to hit the full John Landis jackpot, by injecting some warmth and empathy for the office's endearing chumps. "It's 'A Christmas Story' mixed with 'Animal House' ", explains Miller. "I hope people will want to see it every Christmas - or every other Christmas, because I am hard to look at," he says jokingly."
