[NEWS] 'Dumplin' ' Goes for Gold At the Golden Globes

The 76th Annual Golden Globe Award nominees were announced December 6, 2018 by Terry Crews, Danai Gurira, Leslie Mann and Christian Slater, and 'Dumplin' ' is among the nominees. The film will be competing in the Best Original Song category nominee country music singer Dolly Parton for her song "Girl in the Movies" from the motion picture soundtrack.

The song was written by Parton and songwriter Linda Perry (best known for penning such hits as "Beautiful", "Hurt", and "Keeps Getting Better" by Christina Aguilera, and "Get the Party Started" by P!nk). The ceremony won't take place until January 6, 2019 hosted by actress Sandra Oh, and actor/comedian Andy Samberg.
