[NEWS] Jennifer Will Make a Coveted Return to Television with the Help of actress Reese Witherspoon

The Hollywood Reporter magazine exclusively released the news that Jennifer will make a coveted return to the small screen since starring on NBC's 'Friends'. More than a decade after the series ended, the actress has been plotting her return to television. Her role on 'Friends' as the spoiled-yet-lovable Rachel Green earned her an Emmy and a Golden Globe for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

But in recent years she's had a successful career in film which has earned her her star on the Hollywood walk of fame in 2012, with blockbuster hits such as 2003's 'Bruce Almighty', 2006's 'The Break-Up', 2008's 'Marley & Me', 2011's 'Just Go with It' & 'Horrible Bosses', as well as 2013's 'We're the Millers' all grossing at least $200-million in world-wide box office receipts.

Now reporter Lesley Goldberg for THR reports that in one of the largest television packages to date, Aniston and actress Reese Witherspoon are reportedly attracted to star in an untitled series exploring morning shows, and the larger New York media scene that they inhabit.

In an earlier interview with People magazine in January 2017 Jennifer stated, "I've thought about it a lot. That's where the work is. That's where the quality is. At this point in my career, I want to be part of wonderful stories, exciting characters, and also just having a good time". The untitled television project, which has not yet hit the market, is expected to be taken out to premium cable outlets like HBO (Home Box Office network) as well as streaming services including Netflix.

Given the stars attached, it is expected to draw significant interest from multiple bidders. The project is based on an original idea and is being spearheaded by former HBO head of drama Michael Ellenberg and his newly launched film and television production company Media Res. Screenwriter Jay Carson (Netflix's series 'House of Cards') is attached to pen the script as well as serve as an executive producer for the project. Academy award nominee Steve Kloves ('Wonder Boys', 'Harry Potter' film franchise) will serve as an executive producer for the up-coming series.

Witherspoon will also be an executive producer alongside her Hello Sunshine banner topper Lauren Levy Neustadter. Aniston will also be credited as an executive producer. Jennifer and Reese, who memorably guest starred as Jennifer's younger sister Jill Green on 'Friends', have remained close friends over the years. The news of Aniston's return to television came as Witherspoon recently garnered an Emmy nomination for HBO's 'Big Little Lies'. Since leaving HBO, Ellenberg has focused on developing and has successfully teamed up with Bron Studios to launch Media Res. As for Kloves, the untitled morning series set to star Aniston and Witherspoon, will be his first television series.
