[NEWS] 'The Yellow Birds' Costumes Designed by Oscar-Winner Ann Roth

Oscar-winning costume designer Ann Roth - (Best Costume Design, 'The English Patient')
Ann Roth's an Oscar-winning costume designer, and happened to design the costumes for the cast of up-coming adaption  of drama/war film 'The Yellow Birds' based on the novel by author Kevin Powers.

(2017) The Yellow Birds
The film stars actor Alden Ehrenreich and Tye Sheridan as two young privates John Bartle and Daniel Murphy who navigate through the terrors of the Iraq war under the command of the older, troubled Sergeant Sterling played by actor Jack Huston. All the while, Bartle is tortured by a promise he made to Murphy's mother Maureen, played by actress Jennifer Aniton, before their deployment. 'The Yellow Birds' also stars actor Jason Patric and actress Toni Collette.

Ann Roth's work has been nominated multiple times includes her first Academy award nomination in 1985 for her work in drama film 'Places in the Heart' starring actress Sally Field and actor Ed Harris, she won her second nomination in 1997 for drama-romance/war film 'The English Patient' starring actor Raph Fiennes and actress Juliette Binoche, Roth earned her third nomination - shared with fellow costume designer Gary Jones - in 2000 for her work in crime/drama-thriller film 'The Talented Mr. Ripley' starring actors Matt Damon & Jude Law and actress Gwyneth Paltrow, and she received her fourth nomination in 2003 for her work in drama/romance film 'The Hours' starring actresses Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman and Julianne Moore.
