"Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts lead the all-star cast of the up-coming Gary Marshall film 'Mother's Day' marking the director's third holiday installment film - his previous ones include (2010) 'Valentine's Day' and (2011) 'New Year's Eve'. The ensemble cast is also lead by actress Kate Hudson and actor/comedian Jason Sudeikis supported by Britt Robertson, Timothy Olyphant, Shay Mitchell, Sarah Chalke, Margo Martindale and Jon Lovitz. Much like Marshall's previous holiday films, several different storylines interconnect in 'Mother's Day' through the various characters. The thing tying the characters all together is their same struggles in their love lives and families while trying to "Celebrate the day that connects us all", as the film's tagline expresses. 'Mother's Day' hits theaters April 29, 2016, one week before the actual holiday arrives. Watch the first trailer for the star-studded movie below!

Jennifer's story arc revolves around her playing Sandy, a single mother of two young boys who's ex-husband Henry; played by actor Timothy Olyphant, dumped her and has remarried a younger woman Tina; played by actress Shay Mitchell, who wants nothing more than to be the perfect step mom to Sandy and Henry's two boys.

Sandy finds love with stay-at-home dad Bradley; actor/comedian Jason Sudeikis's character, who works as a cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, and is dealing with the troubles of raising two daughters one of whom is a teenager. Bradley's oldest daughter proves difficult with her teenage problems.

Meanwhile, Sandy seeks work from successful author Miranda; Julia Robert's character, a childless-workaholic-career driven individual who keeps busy with her work. Then there's Jesse; actress Kate Hudson's character, who works as a school teacher, and Gabi; actress Sarah Chalke's character, the two play sisters who live together. Gabi encourages her sister to contact their mother; actress Margo Martindale's character, because Jesse has avoided communication due to her indifference with the holiday of Mother's Day. This results in her parents making a surprise trip to visits, which makes for comical situations. Apparently Jesse and her mother are estranged from one another for unexplained reasons.

Kate Hudson - MOTHER'S DAY
Kristin; actress Britt Roberts character, an adolescent who confides in her teacher Jesse that she was adopted. All her life she's struggled with the basic question of why someone would give her away. Kristin is urged by Jesse to seek out her birth mother, and during a book signing at a store for Miranda's tour to promote her new novel Shopped to the Top, she encounters Kristin who unexpectedly turns out to be the daughter she gave up for adoption all those years ago.
