While Aniston and Pitt have remained friendly over the years throughout his ill-fated relationship with current ex-wife, actress/director Angelina Jolie, the two [Jennifer and Brad] weren't especially close. A source close to the actress says, "They aren't in regular contact, beyond an occasional text message back and forth to wish each other the best when there's been a new project or big event."Aniston confirmed in an earlier interview with Vogue magazine, "We have exchanged a few very kind 'Hellos' and 'wishing you wells' and 'sending you love' and 'Congratulations!' ", but I have nothing but absolute admiration for him, and ... I'm proud of him! I think he's really done some amazing things."

[NEWS] Jennifer Gets Derailed ⏤ The TRUTH About Harvey Weinstein, Sexual Harassment and Lack of Pay

  • Jennifer made the movie Derailed (2005) and NEVER got paid
  • Harvey Weinstein's involvement with the movie
  • Talks of sexual harassment in the work place, and how she handled it

The Weinstein Company filled for bankruptcy, but actors and actresses disagree to the selling the company saying, "We're still owed money".
Amid the Harvey Weinstein scandal over rape and sexual harassment allegations, the untimely sale of The Weinstein Company's assets is apart of the company's recent bankruptcy case. Jennifer, is just the latest in a long line of celebrities [including actor Leonardo DiCaprio, actor/producer Brad Pitt, actress Meryl Streep and actress Julia Roberts] who have filed documents objecting to the sale of the company in its recent bankruptcy case. Aniston along with others released the following mutual statement ⏤ "We're still owed money by the studio." In her case she had starred in the 2005 drama/thriller film 'Derailed' opposite actor Clive Owen, which was co-distributed by The Weinstein Company, and produced by Harvey Weinstein.

Jennifer is fighting in court to ensure she's owed her correct payments from the studio. Her lawyers filing states: "She [Jennifer] must be given a FULL and FAIR opportunity to examine the Debtors' books as well as their records concerning a reconciliation of the revenues generated by the Film and the expenses claimed by the Debtors as credits/offsets to the payment of applicable revenues to me." Jennifer herself states: "I strongly believe that The Weinstein Company's claim of what I'm owed, is incorrect." A specific amount has not yet been released to the public, but in her earlier movie career Aniston was paid anywhere from $5 to $8-million per film, which is an estimated amount of what The Weinstein Company owes her. Aniston adds, "I also believe that the studio hasn't provided me with accurate accounting reports of the movie's ['Derailed' (2005)] profits since 2016.

In her (2018) InStyle magazine interview Jennifer addressed her experience with sexual harassment in the work place
Jennifer addresses sexual harassment in the work place admitting, "I've definitely has some sloppy moves made on me by other actors [she doesn't namedrop], and I handled the situation by walking away." She clarifies, "I've NEVER had anyone in a position of power make me feel uncomfortable and leverage that over me. In my personal experience I've been treated worst verbally and energetically by some women [she doesn't namedrop] in this industry."

Jennifer also addresses sexism and whether or not she's experienced it saying, "I've definitely had my fair share of sexism in the media. She elaborates, "Women are picked apart and pitted against one another based on looks and clothing and superficial stuff." When asked about the Time's Up and #MeToo movement she says, "Yes, and it's [a hope for change] long overdue. But we also need to be better at listening to one another. That includes men. They need to be apart of this conversation. When everyone is mad and aggressive, people become too afraid to speak and there is no conversation."

Georgina Chapmain, Weinstein's then-girlfriend now ex-wife as Candy the prostitute in Derailed (2005)

Weinstein allegedly "bullied" Derailed (2005) director Mikal Halfstrom into giving Chapman a part in the movie.
Harvey Weinstein has been accused of using "bullying tactics" to turn his wife, former actress/designer Georgina Chapman, into a film star at the start of their relationship in the early 2000s. He's the one who got Chapman a small role as a prostitute in 'Derailed' alongside actor Clive Owen. Weinstein, now a shamed producer due to multiple charges of sexual harassment, forced the director of the film, Mikael Hafstrom, to "Thank" Georgina by name in his speech at the premiere, alongside the main actors of the film including Owen, Jennifer Aniston, and Vincent Cassell.

Mikael Hafstrom the director of Derailed (2005)
Then Hafstrom yielded the microphone, only to return a few minutes later adding, "I, um, meant to include Georgina Chapman, who is also in the movie," he said sheepishly, as audience members tittered. They [the audience] laughed because Chapman's screen time was cut to a few minutes as a prostitute who pursues Owen's character.

Georgina's statement on her no ex-husband Harvey: "I am separating from him due to his 'unforgivable' actions".
However, that is no laughing matter, earlier when Hafstrom stepped off the stage, Weinstein pulled him aside and threatened him to get him to go back on stage to properly thank Weinsten's then-wife Chapman. Even before the scandal over rape and sexual harassment allegations broke, Georgina face the accusations that the label [her fashion label Marchesa] was only successful thanks to her husband's [Weinstein] Hollywood connections. She is currently in hiding with her two children, but announced October 9, 2017 that, "I am separating from my husband due to his 'unforgivable' actions."
