[NEWS] TV Line Names Jennifer Performer of the Week

Jennifer Aniston | The Morning Show as Alex Levy | Episode: "The Interview" (S1 EP10)
Congratulations to Jennifer for earning the title of Performer of the Week for her performance as Alex Levy in AppleTV+ series 'The Morning Show' episode "The Interview".

THE PERFORMER | Jennifer Aniston

THE SHOW | AppleTV+'s 'The Morning Show'

THE EPISODE | "The Interview" (S01.EP10)

THE PERFORMANCE | TV Line called Aniston's performance, "an absolute revelation" as embattled co-anchor Alex Levy. We knew the 'Friends' all-star had comedy chops to spare. And courtesy of her indie work (see: 'The Good Girl' (2002), 'Cake' (2014), she's proven herself to be no dramatic slouch either. But the AppleTV+ series has afforded the A-list actress the rare opportunity to regularly play comedy and drama (and even camp) simultaneously and, at times, unsympathetically. And she has more than risen to the occasion. Truthfully, we didn't know she had it in her. But after watching this week's 'Morning Show' finale, our skepticism has officially given way to conviction. Aniston is the real deal.

BD Wong | Mr. Robot as Whiterose | Episode: "eXit (S4 EP11)
Giancarlo Esposito | The Mandalorian as Moff Gideon | Episode: Chapter 7: The Reckoning" (S1 EP7)
She beat out honorable mention performances given by BD Wong for his performance as Whiterose in USA series 'Mr. Robot', and Giancarlo Esposito for his performance as Moff Gideon in Disney+ series 'The Mandalorian'. Like Aniston, Both Wong and Esposito are no stranger to the small screen. BD is known for his role as Father Ray Mukada on HBO series 'Oz' and Dr. Georg Huang on NBC series 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit'. Giancarlo is known for his role as Gustavo "Gus" Fring on AMC series 'Breaking Bad' (2008-13), spin-off series 'Better Call Saul' (2015-present).
