'Mother's Day', which features various story lines organized around the holiday (much like director Gary Marshall's other movies 'Valentine's Day' and 'New Year's Eve'), also stars actress Kate Hudson and actor/comedian Jason Sudeikis. Hudson plays Jesse a woman who has become estranged from her mother, and hates the holiday, but manages to reconnect.
