[NEWS] 'The Yellow Birds' Gets a Release Date

The long awaited drama/war novel-adaption of Kevin Powers 'The Yellow Birds' finally has an official release date for June 15, 2018. For those of you who haven't been keeping up to date on this - the plot features two young soldiers John Bartle; played by Alden Ehrenreich), and Daniel Murphy; played by Tye Sheridan who navigate the terrors of the Iraq war under the command of the older, but troubled Sergeant Sterling; played by Jack Huston. All the while, Bartle is tortured by a promise he made to Murphy's mother Maureen; played by Jennifer Aniston, before their deployment. The film also stars actress Toni Collette as Amy Bartle, and Jason Patric as Captain Anderson. It was announced last year that Saban Films would be distributing the film for wide released estimated Spring of 2018, but now that it has they say it will only be 'limited' and on the 'internet' - which translates to select theaters and streaming. The only question is - will this movie be worth the wait?
