The Daily Mail recently reported that the actress along with an armada of celebrities including actor Leonardo DiCaprio, actor/producer Brad Pitt, actress Meryl Streep and actress Julia Roberts in fighting the sale of The Weinstein Company's assets as part of the company's recent bankruptcy case. Jennifer along with the others has filed court documents objecting to the bankrupt company's sale, and released the following mutual statement - "We're still owed money by the studio." In Aniston's case she had starred in the 2005 drama/thriller film 'Derailed' opposite actor Clive Owen, which was co-distributed by The Weinstein Company.

Aniston's filing states: "She must be given a FULL and FAIR opportunity to examine the Debtors' books as well as their records concerning a reconciliation of the revenues generated by the Film and the expenses claimed by the Debtors as credits/offsets to the payment of applicable revenues to her." Jennifer herself has stated, "I strongly believe that The Weinstein Company's claim of what I'm owed, is incorrect. I also believe that the studio hasn't provided me with accurate accounting reports of the the movie's ['Derailed'] profits since 2016."

Aniston is just the latest in a long line of celebrities objecting to the sale of The Weinstein Company in its recent bankruptcy case. Like her, other Hollywood stars such as Roberts, and DiCaprio (as well as others) have been fighting the bankruptcy case in court to ensure they're owed their correct payments from the studio. They've often echoed Aniston's claims of inaccurate untimely accounting by The Weinstein Company.
