"Justin Theroux has recently wrapped up shooting the second season of his HBO drama/fantasy series 'The Leftovers', which earned the actor two Best Lead Actor nominations from the Critics and People's Choice awards. His latest project, 'The Girl On the Train' is based on the best-selling novel by author Paula Hawkins, and is going to be this year's hottest adaption. The film will be directed by Tate Taylor notably the director of (2011) 'The Help' and the James Brown adaption (2014) 'Get On Up'. Not only is it currently assembling a killer cast headed by Golden Globe award-winning actress Emily Blunt, but it's the book everyone is talking about. There a few details about the movie that have recently been revealed, so we've got everything you need to know about it right here.

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
'The Girl On the Train' is the story of Rachel Watson's; Blunt's characters, post-divorce life. The book is prominently set in London - her commute between a suburb and a city is how all of her observations star - but the movie will not take place in the UK. The setting has been relocated to New York (itself known for its trains). Don't worry that the film's British lead will lose her accent due to change; Emily told the BBC that her character would stay British. Every day, Rachel takes the train in to work to London, and every day the train passes by her old house. The house she lived in with her husband, who still lives there, with his new wife and child. As she attempts to not focus on her pain, Rachel begins watching a couple a few houses down - Megan Hipwell; actress Haley Bennet's character, and Scott Hipwell; actor Luke Evans character.

She creates a wonderful dream life of them in her head, about how they are a perfect family. Then one day, as the train passes, she witnesses something shocking, filling her with rage. The next day, she awakes with a horrible hangover, various lacerations and bruises, and no recollection of the night before. Rachel has only an inkling: something terrible has occurred. Then come the television reports by a field reporter; actor Frank Anello's character: Megan Hipwell is missing. Rachel becomes invested in the case attempting to figure out what led to Megan's disappearance as well as the time unaccounted for herself that same night Megan went missing. The film also stars Screen Actors Guild award-winning actress Laura Prepon as Cathy, and Primetime Emmy award- winning actress Lisa Kudrow as Monica. It hits theaters October 7, 2016 and is set to be distributed by Universal Pictures for wide-release."
