[NEWS] Jennifer's Husband Will Be Out of Job Soon, But She Says "I'm SO Proud of Him!"

No he's not leaving Hollywood, California nor is Justin having trouble finding work. His stint on HBO's drama/fantasy series 'The Leftovers' is just coming to an end. Back in December 10, 2015 the Home Box Office network made an announcement that they renewed the series for a third season, but it will be the final season of the show.

(2014-2014) The Leftovers season 1
(2015-2015) The Leftovers season 2

On average an HBO series usually run for five-seasons, so why pull the plug on this series? We're speculating between it's decrease in viewership, and lack of effort in winning accolades have something to do with it. In the series first season they averaged 1.6-million viewers, but when they returned for a second season they only averaged 0.6-million viewers a dramatic decrease ultimately losing 1-million viewers between seasons. The series first season critic consensus states: "Its dour tone and self-seriousness may make for somber viewing, but 'The Leftovers' (season 1) is an artfully crafted, thought-provoking drama that aims high and often hits its mark." In comparison to the series second season critic consensus that states: " 'The Leftovers' continues to be unpredictable and provocative in season two with its new location, though the inexplicable circumstances will still frustrate many viewers."

Cast of 'The Leftovers' season 1 with creator Damon Lindelof & author Tom Perrotta
Sure 'The Leftovers' has gained recognition for it's acting and writing from the Critics Choice Television awards, Writers Guild awards, and Satellite awards, but has failed to win. With the exception of the series first season being awarded 'Most Exciting New Series' during the 4th Annual Critics Choice Television awards, and actress Carrie Coon being awarded for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her performance as Nora Durst during the second season. We also suspect that aside from a drop in ratings and awards the writing has something to do with it as well. The first season stayed true to the novel written by author Tom Perrotta, which the series is based off of, but the second season derived after they ran out of material from the book. Thus making the second season it's own thing.

Jennifer & Justin at the Critics Choice Television awards
Justin has received recognition for his role as chief of police Kevin Garvey, a role which has earned him a Critics Choice Television award for Best Lead Actor in a Drama Series during the series second season. However, Theroux lost his nomination to actor Rami Malek as Elliot Alderson in USA's drama/thriller series 'Mr. Robot'. No worries. Jennifer stands by man because his film career is still flourishing as both a screenwriter and an actor. Earlier this year in February, Justin co-wrote the script for comedy film 'Zoolander 2', the much anticipated sequel to 'Zoolander' released in 2001. Theroux's also set to star opposite actress Emily Blunt in 'The Girl On the Train' based on the novel by author Paula Hawkins. Aniston says of her husband, "As the say in the business," she says, "He's [Justin's] on fire. I'm SO proud of him!"
