[NEWS] Jennifer Shoots Down "Friends" Reunion

(2015) Must See TV: A Tribute to James Burrows - Friends
THE HUFFINGTON POST.com
"In a recent interview with The Huffington Post Jennifer shot down any hopes of a 'Friends' reunion, but not because of lack of interest in reuniting with her old co-stars. She says, "We were jokingly saying that if 'Friends' was created today you would have a coffee shop full of people that were just starring into iPhones," she told The Huffington Post. "There would be NO actual episodes or conversations," she continued adding, "people are too into their phones to have a proper conversation nowadays." Aniston even admitted she sometimes lets technology take over her and it can even stop her from sleeping. "If I think back before devices, I'm trying to think first, which came first, my bad sleeping habits or a device? I honestly think I used to sleep beautifully and I don't think I attributed to the fact that these phones came into our lives that have actually started to disrupt our sleep." In fact the only time the cast - including former 'Friends' co-stars actress Courteney Cox, actress/comedienne Lisa Kudrow, and actors Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer - attended a television special in 2016 honoring director James Burrows, who directed several episodes of 'Friends'. The only member of the original six that didn't attend - actor/comedian Matthew Perry, who had prior commitments to do a play 'The End of Longing' in London - but he did introduce the other five via video. The reality of it is - the former 'Friends' stars are all just busy with their careers and personal lives to try and work around their hectic schedules to try and pull something like that together."
