[BOX OFFICE] 'Office Christmas Party' v. 'Allied'

It's a battle in the box office between ex's - between Jennifer and her ex-husband film actor Brad Pitt - and Jennifer is winning by all-means. Duking it out are the comedy/holiday-ensemble film 'Office Christmas Party' starring Aniston, which was released December 9, 2016 versus action/romance film 'Allied' starring Pitt, which was released November 23, 2016.

ROUND 1 - Battle of the Box Office: Opening Weekend
In the first round of battle in the box office - we take on opening weekend numbers. OCP grossed $16-million whereas 'Allied' grossed $12-million making 'Office Christmas Party' the winner grossing $2-million more in box office.

ROUND 2 - Battle of the Box Office: Domestic Numbers
In the second round of battle in the box office - we take on domestic numbers. OCP grossed $52-million whereas 'Allied' grossed $39-million making 'Office Christmas Party' the winner grossing $13-million more in box office.

ROUND 3 - Battle of the Box Office: Foreign Numbers
In the third round of battle in the box office - we take on foreign numbers. OCP grossed $37-million overseas, whereas 'Allied' grossed $47-million overseas making 'Allied' the winner grossing $10-million more in box office.

ROUND 4 - Battle of the Box Office: World Wide Receipts
In the final round - we take on worldwide receipts. OCP grossed $88-million in box office, where as 'Allied' grossed $86-million in box office making 'Office Christmas Party' the winner grossing $2-million more in box office.

The numbers are in - judges say, 'Office Christmas Party' WINS 3:1 versus 'Allied'. OCP came out strong opening weekend grossing $2-million more than its opponent 'Allied', swung again domestically grossing $13-million more than its opponent, took a hard punch overseas grossing $10-million less than 'Allied', but came out on top in world-wide receipts grossing a mere $2-million more than its opponent. Good battle. 'Allied', you fought hard, but 'Office Christmas Party' fought harder.
