[NEWS] Jennifer Supports Fellow Actress Reese Witherspoon Who Is Honored by the American Cinemathque

"This marks Jennifer's third time attending a fellow entertainers American Cinematheque award ceremony. She's previously attended actor/comedian Ben Stiller's and actor Robert Downey, Jr.'s. The American Cinematheque award annually honors an extraordinary artist in the entertainment industry who is fully engaged in his or her work and is committed to making a significant contribution to the art of the motion pictures. Jennifer has been associated with Reese since the 2000's after Reese made a recurring guest appearance on NBC's sitcom Friends as her younger sister Jill Green.

Actor Matthew McConaughey the previous recipient of the American Cinematheque award, will have the honor of presenting to Reese. The pair previously worked together in 2012's coming-of-age/drama-thriller film Mud. Of receiving the award Witherspoon commented,

"This whole experience is just overwhelming and unbelievable because I'm really just a girl from Nashville who had a dream."

She continued explaining how she grew-up on backlots and on locations. She had her entire childhood on film. Reese went through puberty on film, commenting "It is something I don't feel TOTALLY great about, but I don't regret it at all. It's preserved forever."  Reese is the first woman to win the American Cinematheque award since actress Julia Roberts who received her's in 2007.

Throughout her career Reese has been honored with multiple awards and nominations. In 2005 she starred in her most critically acclaimed role as June Carter-Cast in musical/drama film Walk the Line, which earned the actress the Academy award, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild award for Best Lead Actress of the Year. In 2010 Reese received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
