[NEWS] "Mean Moms" Film Project Is in Pre-Production

"Mean Moms" is a film project that had been on hold since early March of this year, and caused an uproar in social media after a tease theatrical poster with Jennifer and fellow actresses Sandra Bullock and Cameron Diaz on it, was released on twitter. The project was picked up by New Line Cinema and Offspring Entertainment production company. Is is said to be a spin-off of actress Lindsay Lohan film "Mean Girls". They only thing that was missing was a director and now its set to be directed by Sean Anders whom Aniston has teamed up with before; they've previously worked together on "We're the Millers" and "Horrible Bosses 2". The script is also written by Anders and screenwriter Chad Gomez Creasy; whose notable writing credits include ABC television series such as comedy series "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" which starred Aniston's former "Friends" cast mate actor/comedian Matthew Perry, comedy/police procedural series "Castle", and drama series "Mistresses".

This will be Creasy's third film script he's written; his other film writing credits include comedy/romance film "Sydney White" starring actress Amanda Bynes, and the sequel to actress Reese Witherspoon's "Legally Blonde" film series "Legally Blondes". The movies plot line consists of a happily married mother of two; Aniston's character, who moves from small town America to the high class suburbs and is faced with confronting the cut throat world of competitive parenting. What does that mean? The film will likely involve lots of carpooling gone hysterically wrong, passive aggressive fights, and some serious backbiting - and that's just from the parents. While the actress has been linked to "Mean Moms" for a while now, Jen says, "I have not yet signed on to do the film yet. I want to keep my options open this summer." It's entirely possible that signing Anders to direct the project was a move by the studio to try and get her to sign on the dotted line. No further details has been provided about the type of role Aniston will play, or if it will be doing something more in line with Lohan's character from the original film. "Mean Moms" looks to capture the same spirit as "Mean Girls", only with an adult cast.
