Jennifer's fiance screenwriter/actor Justin Theroux is going to Texas! The star of HBO's drama/fantasy series The Leftovers is just 1 of the 6 original 14 main cast members from the first season that have been confirmed as returning for the series second season; this excludes the following actors: actress Liv Tyler; who played Megan Abbott, actress Ann Dowd; who played Pattie Levin, actress Emily Meade; who played Aimee, actress Amanda Warren; who played Lucy Warburton, actress Annie Q.; who played Christine, actors Max and Charlie Carver; who played Adam and Scott Frost, and actor Michael Gaston; who played Dean will not be returning. In May 2015 the network renewed the series for a second season with a ten-episode run. In the first season the show stayed true to the Tom Perrotta novel as far as plot line, characters and setting in the fictional town of Mapleton, New York. However, the second season is taking on some DRASTIC change including cast change and location change. As we mentioned earlier over half of the original cast members won't be returning all together or have been demoted from series regular to series recurring. In April 2015, new casting began for new series regular roles including a family made up of father; ex-convict John Murphy; who will be played by actor Kevin Carroll, his hearing impaired doctor wife, Erika; who will be played by actress Regina King, their teenage children daughter Evie, an out-going athlete; who has yet to be cast, and son Michael; who will be played by actor Jovan Adepo, a pious Christian. Other new cast changes include actor Darius McCrary cast in a recurring role as Isaac Rayney, a friend to Kevin Carroll's character; John who's also a palm reader. As for location change talk about different what a difference Texas is from New York - which is where the second season is being shot Jarden, Texas to be specific.
