Jennifer's latest film Mother's Day which is directed by Gary Marshall best known for collaborating will fellow actress Julia Roberts who will also star in this up-coming romantic-comedy film. For those who are wondering if two of America's sweethearts will be sharing the screen Roberts commented in an earlier interview with Allure magazine in 2015 stating, "No. I won't be sharing the screen with Jennifer," adding, "because she's too cute!" This is Marshall's third holiday installment film - he's previously gifted us with Valentine's Day (2010) which grossed an estimated $216-million in box office, and New Year's Eve (2011) which grossed an estimated $142 in box office. Jennifer is no stranger to ensemble films having previously starred in independent comedy-drama Friends with Money (2006) and blockbuster rom-com He's Just Not That Into You (2009). The project marks Jennifer's sixth collaboration with actor/comedian Jason Sudeikis whom she's previously been opposite in The Bounty Hunter (2010), Horrible Bosses (2011), We're the Millers (2013), and most recently Horrible Bosses 2 (2014).

Mother's Day will also star actress Kate Hudson. Jennifer will mostly be sharing the screen with actor Timothy Olyphant and Pretty Little Liars actress Shay Mitchell. Aniston plays Sandy a newly divorced single mother of two children. Olyphant plays Henry; Aniston's characters ex-husband, and Mitchell plays Tina; Olyphant's characters new girlfriend, who wants nothing more than to be the perfect step-mom to Sandy and Henry's two children. The reason the project has been delayed is because of cast add on's to the ensemble. The most recent addition to the cast was actress/singer Hilary Duff who only recently signed on to the film project in October 2, 2015. Producers for the film are Kevin Frakes, Mike Karz and Wayne Rice. Franks' PalmStar Media is financing the with their Ankur Runga set to executive produce. It was announced July 22, 2015 that Open Road Films has signed on the distribute the movie world-wide. Principal photography for Mother's Day began on August 18, 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia and hits theaters April 26, 2016.
