[NEWS] What Does the New Year Hold for Jennifer?

Last year Jennifer reached the pinnacle of her 2010's career. She released back-to-back films: indie/drama 'Cake', and indie/screwball comedy 'She's Funny That Way', she tied the knot with her fiance of 3-years screenwriter/actor Justin Theroux in a private ceremony in the backyard of their Bel-Air mansion, her and Justin were named one of last years Hollywood's cutest couples, she was the number one Oscar snub after critics said Aniston's performance in 'Cake' was "Oscar-worthy", did her second-most revealing interview of her 2010's career with The Hollywood Reporter magazine revealing many things including the fact that the actress struggles with dyslexia, she earned two Best Lead Actress nominations from the Golden Globes and the Screen Actors Guild for her role in 'Cake', while at the Golden Globes she grabbed fellow actress Kate Hudson's rear end which was all in good-fun later going viral, Jennifer was named one of last years Hollywood's favorite women, and she earned the Montecito award for Best Lead Actress from the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

After achieving all of those accomplishments what does the year 2016 have in store for her? We'll tell - she's doing back-to-back-to-back films: comedy 'Mother's Day', drama/war 'The Yellow Birds', and drama 'The Comedian', she'll more than likely accompany Justin in the red carpet at the 42nd Annual People's Choice awards, and will possible be growing her and her husband's family. 'Mother's Day' the first of Aniston's up-coming films will be the first to hit theaters. The ensemble cast flick is under the direction of Gary Marshall marking the directors third holiday installment his previous ones include: 'Valentine's Day' (2010) and 'New Year's Eve' (2012). Jennifer is playing Sandy; a newly divorced single mother two. She is mostly opposite actor Timothy Olyphant who plays her ex-husband Henry, and actress Shay Mitchell who plays Tina who's Henry's new girlfriend that want nothing more than to be the perfect step-mother to Henry and Sandy's two children.

Aniston's second up-coming film 'The Yellow Birds' is a film adaption of the Kevin Powers novel with the same name. Jennifer plays Maureen Murphy the mother of actor Tye Sheridan's character Daniel Murphy who plays one of the young soldiers who befriend each other before their deployment in Iraq. They two guys are later confronted with horrors of war while fighting to protect each other.

'The Comedian' despite it's title is going to be a drama, which Aniston will be opposite Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro. She plays the younger woman whom De Niro's character an aging insulting Don Rickles-type comedian becomes close to after they each attend a wedding. Jennifer stated last year in her interview with The Hollywood Reporter the following regarding starting a family, "Having a baby is not completely off the table for me," she said adding, "Justin and I are definitely working on starting a family. Everyone has been wondering when I will be or get pregnant, and it seems like everyone is constantly speculating or more like secretly hoping I already am. However, I've had my whole life to take on the whole pregnancy topic. It's been a want. We are trying our best."
