"Jennifer Aniston will serve as a guest judge on 'The Gong Show' this month, which will air August 14, 2017 on ABC. She'll sit alongside actor/comedian Jack Black, and actor/comedian Will Arnett to judge the unique, albeit deliciously low-rent talent on the show hosted by Tommy Maitland. Though the ABC network has renewed most of its game shows like 'The $100,000 Pyramid' and 'Match Game', it has yet to decide whether to renew 'The Gong Show'. "It is definitely still on the table, said Entertainment President, Channing Dungey today in Beverly Hills, California, "we are definitely proud of it." Earlier, executive producer, Conrad Green, said, "The show went looking for super-talented people in an unconventional sense. For me, an amazing talent can be someone who just hums the national anthem brilliantly, you know? There can be all kinds of things. There was a guy whose whole act - he called himself 'Water Man' - was to balance a cup of water on his head and do a forward roll without spilling the water. Very few of our acts could have a residency in Vegas. Some of them, yes, but most of them are acts very homemade, very sort of elemental, people who've got strange imaginations, and created something wonderful, individual, memorable, and most of all, funny."
